Today is the second day dad is spending his time with me. I promised him that I will wake up early in the morning to go for jogging with him every day. So, thats why he come over to my house to spend time with me.
When I was at the Permaisuri garden walking him, suddenly I felt so proud and happy that I can have such a golden opportunity to spend more time with dad. When I look around, I found that most of the old people are together and the young ones are together as well. I can hardly find any children bring their parents to go for morning walk. So, this really made me feel proud indeed that I can spend such a wonderful time with him.
While at the garden, I also found that its really great that I can communicate with him easily. He always wanted to share his experience with me.
In my opinion, we as the children should spend more time with our parents. Actually, I found that there are a lot of lonely old folks around.
I am very sure spending more time with our parents will definately brighten up their days more than what we spend for them on either Mother's day or Father's day.
In fact I always hope I can do more for my parents so that they will be more happier. But then I know, no matter how grown up I am, I am still a kid in their eyes.
I LOVE YOU GREATLY PA AND MA...

One Has To Learn To Love Oneself First...
One has to learn to love oneself first... Why do I come to this topic?
This is because I found that in the society, there are so many men who could not even take care of himself. If he does not know how to take care of himself, how can he take care of his loved ones?
They ended up themselves in such a mess mainly due to their uncontrollable habits and bad self management. One of the main culprit for bad self management is addicted to gamble.
In order for one to know how to take care of himself, it is important that he must have:
1) Healthy Mind And Healthy Body
2) Self Improvement
3) Good Financial Management
I found that majority of the men failed to take care of themselves in so many ways. First of all, of course, it is very important for men to have a healthy mind and a healthy body. I am saying healthy mind first because I believe that if we have healthy mind then we will have healthy body and vice versa. It is the mind which controls the body. So, if we have a healthy mind, naturally we will have a healthy body.
When I say that we must have a healthy mind, naturally it means we must know which direction we are heading to. Are we doing the right thing in our career or are we just wasting our time lazing around or just doing something which did not benefit us at all for example gambling, drinking, smoking, etc?
It has been proven that if a person keeps his mind busy, he will not only lead a better life but also prolonged his life. Successful people like Mr Lee Kuan Yew or Tun Mahathir Mohammed who are in their 80's, are still in their great health.
Mom once told me that a faithful son sends his mother to play mahjong everyday for the son wanted his mother's mind busy thinking while playing mahjong for this will prolong his mother's life.
2) Self Improvements
Nowadays, there are so many youngsters who love to indulge in gambling, clubbing, taking drugs, etc. They do not realise that they can spend so much valuable time on learning some skills or doing something which interest them which will benefit them later.
There are so many things for someone to learn if one has put in some effort and interest.
Now, I have realised, while waiting for my SPM and STPM result, my parents disagree I work outside to gain some experience. They would rather I go to learn some skill instead. Its very lucky that I listened to my mother that I went to take a typing course. Due to this, I am able to type so much faster than majority of the people.
During these school holidays, I learned my computer skills. Due to having these basic computer skills, I am more advantage than most of my classmates because I am able to surf the net for information and doing my projects by using the computer.
Even I am a grown adult, I am so proud that with this computer skill, it leads me to self study on learning the computer softwares like Words, Excel, Powerpoint and Access. I bought books to learn all these softwares myself.
Most of my friends really envy me for I know how to operate these computer softwares. I am so much at advantage for I know how to use these softwares for my personal usage.
3) Good Financial Management
Everyone wants are unlimited. So it is very important that we must know how to control on our wants. Sometimes, when we have the urge to buy something, it is wise to ask ourselves that are we buying the item out of need or wants?
Of course, we have various crave for wants. However, the financial for everyone is always limited. So, it is good that we should be able to control our wants.
I believe that if one knows how to take care of himself, then he will definately be able to take care of his parents, wife and children. He will lead a successful life.

Females Should Be The Phoenix...
My wife, Joanne, read this interesting article which she found in the China Press to me.
According to the article, before marriage, a lot of females tend to put importance on their appearance in order to attract more males.
But as time gets along, usually after marriage and having a few children, the females will no longer put importance into their appearance.
They will give all kind of excuses saying :
1) The fat due to hormonal changes after few pregnantcies.
2) No time to put on make up due to attending to house chores and children.
3) No longer emphasise on the clothings because want to help the husband to save money.
So, as time gets along, the husband will do well in his career and turns up into a dragon.
Unfortunately, the female is no longer attractive to the husband. As the husband has better income and status, the husband will feel that the wife is lagging far away in terms of attractiveness, social status, etc.
So, this is one of the reason why so many husbands tend to stray.
According to this article, it is very important for the females to be a phoenix before the husband turn into a dragon. This will prevent the husband from straying around.

Something Special Will Always Win The Hearts of People
An inspirational encounter with a rickshaw driver in Mumbai
This article is doing its rounds on email and I thought it was ideal to put it here. This is by Mr. Suvendhu Roy of Titan Industries
Last Sunday, my wife, kid and I had to travel to Andheri from Bandra. When I waved at a passing auto rickshaw little did I expect that this ride would be any different.
As we set off, my eyes fell on a few magazines (kept in an aircraft style pouch) behind the driver’s back rest. I looked in front and there was a small TV. The driver had put on the Doordarshan channel.. My wife and I looked at each other with disbelief and amusement. In front of me was a small first-aid box with cotton, dettol and some medicines. This was enough for me to realise that I was in a special vehicle. Then I looked round again, and discovered more – there was a radio, fire extinguisher, wall clock, calendar, and pictures and symbols of all faiths – from Islam and Christianity to Buddhism, Hinduism and Sikhism. There were also pictures of the heroes of 26/11- Kamte, Salaskar, Karkare and Unnikrishnan.
I realised that not only my vehicle, but also my driver was special. I started chatting with him and the initial sense of ridicule and disbelief gradually diminished. I gathered that he had been driving an auto rickshaw for the past 8-9 years; he had lost his job when his employer’s plastic company was shut down. He had two school-going children, and he drove from 8 in the morning till 10 at night. No break unless he was unwell. “Sahab, ghar mein baith ke TV dekh kar kya faida? Do paisa income karega toh future mein kaam aayega.”
We realised that we had come across a man who represents Mumbai – the spirit of work, the spirit of travel and the spirit of excelling in life. I asked him whether he does anything else as I figured that he did not have too much spare time. He said that he goes to an old age home for women in Andheri once a week or whenever he has some extra income, where he donates toothbrushes, toothpastes, soap, hair oil, and other items of daily use. He pointed out to a painted message below the meter that read: “25 per cent discount on metered fare for the handicapped. Free rides for blind passengers up to Rs50″.
My wife and I were struck with awe. The man was a HERO! A hero who deserves all our respect. Our journey came to an end; 45 minutes of a lesson in humility, selflessness and of a hero-worshipping Mumbai-my temporary home. We disembarked, and all I could do was to pay him a tip that would hardly cover a free ride for a blind man.
I hope, one day, you too have a chance to meet Mr Sandeep Bachhe in his autorickshaw MH-02-Z-8508
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is something we ought to learn from Mr Sandeep Bachhe.
First of all, no matter which profession we are in, it is very important that we always put in the heart to do and provide something special, be it service or product. From what Mr Sandeep did on to his rickshaw for example by providing magazines, tv, first aid box, fire extinguisher, etc. is really something extraordinaire to be learnt from.
This is what I call it as putting in the heart to do something that is by putting in the brain to be more creative to provide something special.
With a meagre income, Mr Sandeep has to work more than 12 hours a day. He did not complain but yet he has a big heart for providing special prices for the handicapped.
He is striving so hard to live but yet he still manage to donate part of his income for charity. This is something we should learn.
